Toccata
Solo Organ
Duration: 4 min
I wrote this organ piece during my time as the Titular Organist at the Benedictine Abbey of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and dedicated it to the its great organ (pictured). The Abbey was built in 1590 and the organ in the 1770s in the state of Pernambuco. It is one of the oldest functioning organs in South America. The instrument was expanded in 1945.
